Missy Prosper, Host

Missy Prosper is co-hosting the Wealthy Black Women Summit once again this year with Semirath Fagbemi. Working professionally in the insurance and financial industry for the past two decades, Missy is currently an Account Development Manager at The Personal Insurance Company. Her professional knowledge has helped her take advantage of the available financial tools to help keep her own family safe from the risk of future tragedy.

Canada’s capital, Ottawa, Ontario is where Missy and her husband of 13 years call home. Since moving to Ottawa Missy can be found in a French class trying in vain to learn the language. She hopes her two-year-old son will be able to give her some tricks on how to pickup language learning skills. So far, watching cartoons in French has been helping.

Missy finds inspiration through connecting with other like-minded women and is part of creating events with the Network of Black Business and Professional Women (NB2PW). It is a dynamic networking group dedicated to bringing together Black Women to help foster their professional growth in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
